StarTimes is among a growing number of Pay TV services in Kenya utilizing the DVB-T2 digital broadcasting signal which is already available in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu.

Being a Pay TV service provider, its signals are encrypted and one would need to make monthly payments to stay connected. Also, since StarTimes is wholly reliant on DVB-T2 digital signal, no satellite dish is necessary but you will instead be issued with an antennae instead.

Offering quality channels such as Nat Geo Gold, CCTV News, Fox, BBC World, BET, Kids Co and many more while still keeping its price below Ksh. 2,000/=, it’s one of those things you will ever buy without bargaining.

‘Indian’ is a complimentary package that can go with any of the other packages. For example, one can choose Basic + Indian or Unique + Indian. StarTimes Indian package has only five channels:

B4U Movies, Bollywood TV, Star Gold, Star Plus and B4U Music.

Currently, StarTimes is limited to Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu in coverage. StarTimes also have a mobile TV device similar to DSTVs Walka and Drifta and is capable of digital TV playback.

An initial one-time setup fee for StarTimes is Ksh. 2, 999/= and with that you walk away with a decoder and antennae plus a one month free StarTimes Basic package.

    So your current ad on most tvs is bending only and towards sports, have gone through your parkages and non has any sports channel, give me a reason better to switch off my painfully paid for dstv parkage.

    we had bought some set top boxes from star times sometimes back but they did not seem to work to our satisfaction. ultimately, we now need to buy some more to help us migrate. But, what do we do with the old decoders? HWM
