Exotic sites take the elephant share here with 90% dominance. This hasn’t changed from my previous post in December. Google also directly commands 40% of the top 10 sites in Kenya.

As compared to December, Dealfish, Cheki and Kenyaplex have dropped out of the 10 top sites in Kenya.  Their positions have been taken over by Kenyanjobs.blogspot.com, Jengaweb and Bidorbuy.

Once more, foreign sites continue dominating the Kenyan Social networking sphere.  From my previous post on rankings, Skype and Wazua have fallen out of the top 10 giving way to Pinterest and Twoo. This makes KenyanList the most spirited local social networking site in Kenya.

This is probably the most competitive category in my rankings. Going by my daily interaction with bloggers, I find them the most cutthroat users of search engine optimization techniques all in hope of securing that top place in search engine results page. As a result, sites that appear under this category usually don’t retain their places for long.
