Iphone 5: Will it be a pace setter or Another “Yawner”

It is always said that every gambler usually has an ace up his sleeves and this saying doesn’t fit any other phone maker better than Silicon Valley’s Apple. News on the grapevine has it that the Apple nerd herds are planning to release a new iphone and a smaller iPad later this September.

The iphone, like Samsung Galaxy SIII, is expected to be somewhat anticlimactic and will be scrutinized to the extreme. The new but yet to be unveiled iphone dubbed, iPhone 5 is expected to bring back customers who have been hypnotized by other recent iconic products such as the Samsung Galaxy S III and the Nexus 7.

Competition between Google and Apple products has assumed a different level with the recent release of Google android products that have left several players in the phone industry crying foul, including Apple, claiming patent infringement but in the meantime android products are gathering competitive momentum.

It is believed  that the iPhone 5 will be  Apple’s  best shot  at  regaining  the mind-share  that has been  leaking from its iconic brand  since the release  of Samsung  Galaxy S III.

Pundits are of the idea that apple now has a chance to make it or break it as the game is on their court. Moreover they believe that the success of the iconic phone will be determined by the initial reviews once the phone is released into the market and the marketing ploy they are going to use to ward off criticism from the media.

The release of iPhone 4S didn’t attract as many customers as it had been expected. Some of the reasons that affected the phone’s projected sales included initial reviews that weren’t that positive which ended up second-guessing interested parties.

Another major blow that affected the sales was that the phone’s features weren’t different from the previous versions (Read iphone 4) and if anything the design team did so little as to add only one or two major feature.

Whether or not iPhone  5 is going to turn the table back in favor of apple and its products, one thing is for sure that this new  phone  has to be more noteworthy than iPhone 4S. That means, the pictures that have been surfacing on the Internet in recent times purporting to be the iPhone 4s successor better be an out of this world silly ploy.
